She is popular singer of Indonesia. She was born in Bandung on 1st September 1966. So, she is 44 years old. She is the third child of four brothers. Her father’s name is Alfares Edward Sahanaya from Ambon and her mother is Matheda David from Sangir Talaut.

She moved to Jakarta to develop her career in 1986, after she finished her school of secretary In Bandung. She got married in 1994. Her husband is an actor, He is Jeffrey Waworuntu. They have two daughters. They are Nadine Emanuella Waworuntu and Amabel Odelia Waworuntu.

She is the one of Indonesian diva. She has produced her albums since 1987 after she signed a contract with record company PT Aquarius Musikindo. In a period of 15 years until 2002, she has produced seven albums including the Greatest Hits album.

Some of her albums are Seputih Kasih (1987), Tak Kuduga (1989), Kaulah Segalanya (1991), Uthe! (1996), Kasih (1999), Bicara Cinta (2003), Jiwaku (2006). Album “Kaulah segalanya” is most famous than the other albums.

Really I’m proud of her. She has many awards. Three of them that I know are The First Winner from "City of The Hague Award" and The Second Winner "The Holland Casino Scheveningen" on 1992s, "BASF Award" in 1992. It is for The Best Selling Album Category Top Pop album "Kaulah Segalanya", Triple Platinum Record For album "Kaulah Segalanya", Nominee MTV Music Award for Best Female Vocal in 1997, and Nominee For Best Indonesian Album on "Anugrah Industri Muzik" Malaysia for album "Bicara Cinta" 2004

She ever sang with Boyz II Men, Backstreet Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Lauryn Hill, Eric Benet and Wycleaf Jean. They appear on one stage in the show of Nature Concert in Malaysia. She has attended the Festival abroad, besides in Indonesia. She follows Midnight Sun Song Festival in Finland in 1992 gets the title "Grand Prix Winner" and be a guest vocalist Mario Mario Frangoulis in concert in the Herrod Atticus, Acropolis, in Athens (Greece), On 5-6 October 2002 duet with Mario for the slow song Naturaleza Muerta. Uthe also had a duet with Phil Perry on the show East-West Collaboration in Peace at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Jimbaran, Bali, December 2002.

I think that she is a good woman and good artist because I never hear about scandal that she does. I hope her family always happy. If I meet her, I want to sing with her. Yes I love it. Uthe is my Idol
